Since the 1980s, March has been nationally recognized and celebrated as Women’s History Month, and it can serve as a great opportunity to shine light on women-focused causes, organizations and charities to support this month and beyond. If you want to learn more about women-owned brands to support, we have a running list that we think NBC Select readers would want to learn more about. 

Below, we’re highlighting brands spanning product categories like apparel, beauty, food, wellness and more that have pledged to give back on International Women’s Day (March 8) and throughout Women’s History Month, whether that’s through donations, activism or campaigns.

Brands giving back for Women’s History Month 2024

We rounded up some brands that are giving back this Women’s History Month, listing them alphabetically. Certain brands are offering limited-edition products for Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, and every brand on the list is donating a portion of their profits to a charity that benefits women.

Athletic Brewing

Athletic Brewing relaunched its Trailblazer Hoppy Helles non-alcoholic beer for the fourth year in a row with two new partners:Women of the Bevolution, which provides opportunities and resources for women and non-binary beverage industry professionals, and Lifting Lucy, which supports BIWoC in the hospitality and brewing industry. This month, 100% of profits from the hoppy brew will be donated to these organizations.

Aritzia Women to the Power of Women 2024 Collection

In honor of International Women’s Day, Aritzia launched its limited-edition Women to the Power of Women 2024 Collection, which includes hoodies, totes, hats and more. During International Women’s Day, 100% of proceeds will be donated to the brand’s partner organizations supporting women and girls, including Minerva BC, a Vancouver-based charity that helps mentor self-identified women and girls across the province.

Artizan Joyeria

On International Women’s Day, Artizan Joyeria is donating 10% of all sales to Equity by Fundana, a nonprofit that supports women and children in Venezuela impacted by gender-based violence. The Miami-based jewelry brand sells necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and more. 

Baked by Melissa

Starting today and through March31, Baked by Melissa will donate $5 from every purchase of the Lower East Side Girls Club x Baked by Melissa Cupcake 25-Pack to the nonprofit, which provides free year-round innovative programs in STEM, arts, wellness, leadership and more for young women and gender-expansive youth in New York City.

Birdy Grey

For every comment on Birdy Grey’s latest International Women’s Day Instagram post, the brand will donate a dress to nonprofit organizations that help low-income students attend their prom, including Operation Prom, Dare to Empower, and Cinderella’s Closet. 

California Naturals

California Naturals is donating 100% of online proceeds on International Women’s Day to the Downtown Women’s Center, a Los Angeles-based organization focused on serving and empowering women and gender-diverse individuals experiencing homelessness. The lifestyle brand offers apparel, hair care and body care products with simple, natural ingredients, according to California Naturals.

CASETiFY

CASETiFY’s International Women’s Day collection highlights designs by top female creators and features a variety of phone cases with bold designs and phrases that empower, inspire and celebrate women. This year the brand — which makes some of our favorite phone cases — will donate $5 from every case sold to the nonprofit organization, She’s the First, which builds coalitions to support girls’ agency, access and equity in community-based organizations through training, funding and resources.

Firstleaf

Year-round, wine company and subscription service Firstleaf partners with the nonprofit Wine to Water to donate $100,000 in the effort to help address the challenges faced by women and girls in accessing clean water. During Women’s History Month, Firstleaf launched two new featured bundles: Marinda’s Favorite Reds, a selection of red wines personally curated by the brand’s  director of winemaking Dr. Marinda Kruger, and The Women Behind The Wine Bundle, which is  a tribute to Firstleaf’s all-female wine team, according to the brand.

Honeylove

Now through March 31, 15% of Honeylove’s Give Back Bundle — which includes the brand’s LifeWear Tank, Silhouette Brief and Legging 2.0 — will be donated to the Kind Campaign, a nonprofit that combats bullying amongst girls in schools.

Matilde

On International Women’s Day, 10% of proceeds from the brand’s Minerva Charm Earrings will go toward the nonprofit organization Plan International, which runs campaigns to fight against global poverty, hunger and climate change. The Minerva Charm Earrings are made from 100% recycled 14-carat gold and have a female symbol charm encrusted with lab-grown diamonds, according to the brand. 

Seattle Chocolate

During Women’s History Month and all year long, 10% of every Seattle Chocolate purchase goes to Girls Inc., which supports a new generation of girls to be strong, smart and bold.
